About Joy

She’s neither tall nor short. Hip nor smart. Fast nor slow.
Joy is an emotion that rests in all of our hearts.
Over lunch today I heard the all too often worried conversation from one of my classmates.
“What happens when we finish school? Will I get a job?”
That would be perfect. Complete this monumental investment in ourselves and get a lucrative seat somewhere that jived with all of our learnings and creative juice.
The harsh reality is, that there are no guarantees.
Then one of the administrators sitting with us chimed in and got me mulling.
“Don’t kill the joy,” she said.
The way I heard that was, stop worrying. Keep going.
How very true.
So about that joy...

Passing Time

Eliminated by night. We sleep.
As darkness awakes, we flood the gates.
Joy, sorrow - grief whatever awaits.
Tempted by fate our Universe dictates.
What does the soul crave today?
A crossing to bear for the most awesomeness day we can spare!
It’s up to us to set the pace.
To enlighten the way.
Which way in our day?
Hope knows the path. For the love to fill the heart.
Cope with the moments with glee and with smiles and glad thoughts.
The power of now is that point in time.
Phase through the enigmas of despair.
Enhance the occasions for laughter and play.
Dialed by day, the sun scopes forlorn. Remember. Alone you are not. Forever and not now.
Like the fleeting age of a storm.
Count on the instances of fun!
A cursory departure of senses may frighten you now.
For the day when it is gone is lost in all time.
Till the light glooms the shadows of the slumber era due.
We’ve moved another clock. Twenty-four hours again.
To another day passing time.

An Honour Bestowed!

I really am jumping for joy!!! I recently became aware that the amazing and succulent SARK included my blog link in her September eLetter. What an honour! (See snippet below.)

Thank you, THANK YOU!

Good Things from SARK

I came home from first grade and said to my Mom; "I think that Show and Tell should be me every day!" She replied that other kids needed a chance, and I told her that the kids were begging me to do it. Luckily, my first grade teacher arranged for me to do Show and Tell every day to a different grade. I find and experience so many good things in my life; it feels like a great big Show and Tell. I'm excited to offer this feature at Planet SARK ~ people, places, things and resources that inspire me... Let me know what inspires you at my Glorious Guestbook.

Jane Victoria attended my Succulent Wild Wisdom workshop at Hollyhock, and wrote about her experiences- with photos here.

SARK's full eLetter here!

Believe it or not I am still unravelling from that incredible experience. It was truly filled with joy, absolute delight and pure nourishment of the soul.
Special thanks to the Universe for guiding me there!
Love, smiles and hugs.
